Rent controlled which is nice
Former Tenant
Pros:
Rent controlled. Lived here a long time. No major issues. Kind neighbors. Have lived here for 7+ years
Cons:
Terrible roach infestation that is common with pre war buildings in the area but landlord has told us it is a “cleanliness issue” and not a “pest control issue” so she doesn’t have to deal with it. We have tried everything but plan to move because the bugs are absolutely terrible- way worse in the warmer months. We spray regularly and leave traps. Landlord used to send a guy once a month or so who sprayed for maybe 10 seconds that did nothing. Was pointless. Roaches are inside appliances at this point.
Advice to owner:
Bug bomb the entire building and mandate everyone leave and pay for hotel accommodation.
