Just Don’t Do It
Former Tenant
Pros:
I had a friendly older neighbor that would look out for my packages. Can’t say anything good about the building or management though!
Cons:
- Poor handling of move in/getting me access
- Lack of attention to maintenance in my apartment and in the building
- Doesn’t follow up on requests for repairs
- No easy way for packages to be delivered (my packages and mail have ended up outside on the ground)
- Gas leak in my apartment from pipe that wasn’t repaired prior to move in
- unregulated radiator heat, that goes out every other weak
- ROACHES!!!!!!! Both American and German…they’re everywhere. Noticed them after I moved in and I’ve frequently notified management of the issue but it’s not properly handled.
Advice to owner:
Please make an effort to care more for your tenants and the place they call home. Would you want to live like this?
You show no care for this property and clearly are only concerned about whatever income you gain from it. Do better.

Could Be Worse
Former Tenant
Pros:
We probably benefitted from white privilege, but owner responsiveness to pest control or other needs was pretty quick.
Only so many units in the building so you only have so many neighbors.
Great location, right next to Train station, laundry, corner stores.
Cons:
The super’s cleaning was always cursory. Quick sweep, maybe a mop, and sometimes garbage went a week without being cleaned. I wonder if the banisters/door handles were ever wiped down.
There’s a beautiful backyard accessible through the basement but it isn’t landscaped and looks like a jungle.
ALSO, one long-time resident evidently suffers from paranoia. He’s very curious about the neighbors coming and going and is super protective of his unit, to the point of being aggressive and dangerous.
Advice to owner:
Wipe down the doors and entryway, maybe give it a fresh coat of paint and it’ll immediately look more appealing, but nothing will matter while the dangerous tenant still lives there.
