Unfortunately a slumlord

Pros:
Kind of a Quiet area, except for upstairs neighbors
Cons:
Tenants upstairs have rein over property, they are loud and unclean. You will find dog poop in yard and bug filled garbage cans. Property is unkept by landlord and consistently has leaks in the ceiling and walls. The heating is very expensive and there are huge drafts from doors and windows in winter. Landlord will attempt to fix leaks with dollar store finds instead of actually fixing it. Knew there was mold in our bedroom closet. When confronted about it he said “can’t’ be there’s no pipes there”. When we finally got him to bring a plumber, long and behold the upstairs bathroom was right above the closet with the toilet pipe being the one leaking into our room. He continued to deny problems and blamed upstairs for not “caulking the side of the tub” and saying that was the cause of the leak. You pay electric but what is not told is how EXPENSIVE the bill will be in the winter since the house has never been re insulated, the draft is ridiculous and you will spend hundreds to stay mildly warm in winter!
Advice to owner:
Be nicer, cleaner, do proper maintenance and stop being so cheap about it.
