Worst Management Ever
Former Tenant
Pros:
Location is great, open concept apartment is beautiful
Cons:
The unit management is horrible. We have never experienced such incompetent, irresponsible, rude landlords in all our years renting.
These were the issues: 1. Unit management didn’t let the on-site super know we were moving in on the day and time which we communicated 2 weeks prior to our move. 2. Getting a hold of them via email and call is impossible. 3. The 4th day into our move, we had 2 ceiling leaks in the master bedroom - we called multiple times and finally someone came to look. Never told us when it’ll get fixed 4. Didn’t place window guards when we let them know we had a child under 2 5. Greeted by cockroaches (2.5 inches long) 6. Dishwasher wasn’t screwed in 7. All of the maintenance jobs we asked for were not done immediate . They would tell us we will get something done but would never call or show up. 8. Finale, 2 weeks into our move, mind you this is a newly renovated apt and we are the first tenants, Ida hit and our WHOLE DAMN APT was leaking (nursery, master bedroom, kitchen, living room) and we just unpacked all our things. Found our baby in her room FLOODED. Called emergency line and unit super and NO ONE DID ANYTHING. No one checked in on us until we went 3 days later after cleaning, packing and doing laundry so we went to their office to be met with a rude person who said we had to wait 4 days for someone to get back to us bc it’s a long weekend and the property manager left already at 1:30 pm for her vacation. We let her know we were homeless and with a 1 year old child but she kept telling us we need to wait until Tuesday…never in my life have I ever had anyone be unempathetic about our situation. 9. They don’t do crap for you and expect to pay rent on time.
DONT EVER RENT FROM VENTURA LAND CORP. THEY DONT CARE ABOUT YOU ONLY MONEY.o
Advice to owner:
Care about people and do something about emergencies. How can you sleep at night knowing people are homeless with a child?
