Worst place to live
Former Tenant
Pros:
Good location to train
Cons:
Neighbors don’t understand that it is a pet friendly building and harass you. The heat was on full blast making us having to put the a/c on during the winter which raised our electricity bill. They may tell you that you can’t hear the train but you can and it makes life very difficult. Sleeping was hard and even just working from home was difficult. The super was friendly, but would not get involved in situations with other tenants. Our downstairs neighbors complained about the sound of our dog walking and started to bang on the ceiling constantly. They blasted music before this that made our furniture shake. We also found out that they were recording us and the renters before. The super did nothing about this issue. The laundry was disgusting and most people took it elsewhere. There is absolutely no parking and it takes a good 40 minutes to find a spot. You could hear noise on all sides of you. It was like there was no privacy. Worst living situation ever. The management company is the worst ever and does nothing to fix any situation.
Advice to owner:
Fix the building so it’s more soundproof and inform people about how it is pet friendly and they will have to deal with pet sounds. Make sure behavior like being recorded isn’t tolerated. Be more involved so living there isn’t like living in hell.
