Pros:
Backyard space is great
Cons:
No insulation (winters are very cold without heat being on) so the heat doesn’t stay in. Very hot in summer due to it being a brick house. Mice are an ongoing issue. Maintenance issues will not be fixed immediately ,if ever. This space has no proper ventilation and the windows are very old as well as the outlets. The shower and sink in both the kitchen and bathroom have very low pressure and an outdated shower body. The lighting fixtures in the bathroom are OLD and the electrical outlets chip out easily due to the circuit box being old. There’s poor/no light fixtures in any room. This space is highly susceptible to mold due to moisture and lack of ventilation. Property owner will not buy new appliances the appliances are all very old and rickety.
Advice to owner:
Renovation of the entire space or bulldoze it down and rebuild on the property or you can simply find another passion and stop renting out properties. Provide your tenants with updated fire extinguishers which should be updated often. Prioritize your tenants needs.
