Dishonest and deceitful
Former Tenant
Pros:
The spacious apartment
Cons:
I had no heat for the winter of 2022. I complained to the landlady and she sent out the superintendent with his workers to fix the heat which they spent an extensive amount time and days in my home. It was a huge inconvenience to me because it was all day and impromptu visits. Furthermore, after they "fixed" the problem, I still received no heat. I called 311 and they kept coming by to repair. The superintendent had given me an old, untrustworthy space heater that was VERY loud and would shut off and on after a few seconds. Eventually it caught itself on fire. I was still living without any heat and the superintendent would gaslight me and try to make it seem like it was all in my head. Eventually, the heat would come but would go out again during very cold frigid weather. The problem was never solved.
Next issue. The landlady twice in a row would add on money to the rent which was not in the agreed upon lease. I would correct her, show her proof and she would deny that she was wrong, only to back peddle and correct her mistake without an apology. She was trying to get more cash from me but I didn't fall for it.
Lastly, I needed a new toilet and the landlady told me one of her workers will come the following day to install in the morning. I waited all morning, and he never came. I texted her about his whereabouts, and she acted like she knew nothing of what I was speaking about. Then she texted me back and said he came and rang my bell but I never answered. I said check the surveillance camera right outside by door and see. Then he calls me and apologizes NOT for lying but for not coming because he was busy.
They are crooks. They are dishonest and deceitful.
Advice to owner:

Good with minor issues
Former Tenant
Pros:
The apartments are big and spacious! You would love it ! The heat and water is amazing ... it’s peaceful most days especially during the winter & on Sunday’s !
Cons:
Some of people in the building are very inconsiderate of others. They sometimes smoke in the hallways , the ppl will clean the building everyday and they will dirty it right back ! During the summer there are lots of water bugs in the lobby ! The laundry room isn’t the cleanest because of the people. The super sucks he never want to hear anything he gets overwhelmed easily !
Advice to owner:
Need stricter management and rules to keep the building running smoothly !
