Heat & hot water, some roaches, bad intercom
Former Tenant
Pros:
Smaller building so less residents to deal with with regard to noise, cleanliness, etc. It’s also very close to train, same block and is dog friendly. And the super is pretty responsive.
Cons:
Intercom issues, the thing is always broken and then fixed and then broken again. You can hear people buzz but you can’t buzz them in and will need to constantly go down for packages/deliveries. We also had no hot water a few times and the heat was not working until we got the super to look into it. They had to order some piece to fix the heat. It works too well on a day that’s 50-60 degrees but you barely feel any heat on a day that’s 20-30 degrees. There were also a few instances we saw a roach, just one here and there and it’s still our first year renting. Also, because you’re on the same block as the train and the RFK bridge you will occasionally hear both the train and loud trucks/bikes.
Advice to owner:
Get a new intercom system.
