Nycha the biggest slumlord
Former Tenant
Pros:
This is the worst place to live
Cons:
Damaged dirty elevator roaches, vermin throughout building. mold and lead poisoning apartment. Apartment walls leakage and chip paint and pipes with dust droppings, broken windows old amenities and appliances bathroom black mold and leaky pipes and toilet bowl leak Also non tenant hand and loitering in building drug activity and Nycha employees don’t clean often or secure buildings front door constantly broken and unlock Dog feces all over ground u barely enter building escaping dog feces and lighting fixture broke so it’s dark at night which is dangerous heat is a game on and off sometimes water smells like sewage sometimes
Advice to owner:
Stop being lazy and have some compassion you want your rent but you don’t respect or care about the tenants.. The building is very old build in 1950”s with no upgrade and you expect it to survive but you want to blame the tenants no this is inhuman treatment and and a crime. Engage with tenants stop lying to tenants hire outside contractors and oversee their sloppy work and upgrade the buildings
