Former Tenant
Pros:
Great heat. Lovely location. Pretty views. Secure space
Cons:
This particular house holds a horrible truth that no other neighbouring houses do to our knowledge. The landlord has divided 2 floors to separate rentals and the people living on the 1st floor has taken upon themselves to make the lives of their neighbours a living hell. The landlord doesn’t live nearby but in southern New Jersey and takes no responsibilities of its disruptive tenants. We were the victims of having 3 months of our lives destroyed living on the 2nd floor and we wish we never took it in the first place. We came to know previously another family had to leave and did so in haste to be rid of the disruptive 1st floor tenants and the irresponsible landlord. The 1st floor tenants include a senile old woman and her lunatic son of 42 years as of 2020 that will steal and destroy your mail and parcels and will spill your trash. The family is open racist and claims the cops are their “buddies” so can’t get rid of them. They pay no rent and the landlord doesn’t do anything about it. Seemingly the house belongs to the landlord’s dying father and the landlord himself happens to “couldnt care less”. We leave the house with a lot of money spent and no good memories. I urge people to do deep research before taking up the listing on this house. If possible take the entire house and see to it that not allow anyone to share the building with other tenants esp that on the 1st floor. The landlord will first act nice then change his colours for the worst reasons. We know not but only have conspiracies regarding why the landlord refuse to get tough with the disruptive tenants despite COVID restrictions on eviction. I hope this review helps people from making the mistake we did.
Advice to owner:
Take responsibility. The perpetrators believe that they have a permanent stamp on your house and you do nothing. You have failed to retain the faith of multiple families that invested in your property. Look after your tenants needs and weed out what is disrupting the entire neighbourhood
