STAY AWAY -- the building owner is racist and threatening violence
Former Tenant
Pros:
Brand new building, great finishes, by the beach.
Cons:
The building owner is renting units out - read the lease. If he sells the unit (as a condo), you have <30 days to vacate. He sold the unit out underneath me, and when I took him to court, he threatened me with violence. The owner is mobbed up - google him and his brother. They are the ones who framed the mentally handicapped black man for the Karina Vetrano murder, all because he was a black man walking through Howard Beach (predominantly racist, right-wing, white residents).
The owner called his cousin in the NYPD, and they fabricated a story about me running guns from the apartment. Mind you, I have never once even touched a gun. They trashed my home, came in with a no knock warrant, detained me, all to be let go. I found out later the affidavit was signed by the building owner, two days after he sold the unit.
Intimidation and harassment.
Advice to owner:
See you in court.
