Great potential but falls short
Former Tenant
Pros:
Pleasant location and building is clean.
Cons:
Cheap construction of the building and appliances has caused so many problems. Something is always falling apart and owner is very slow to respond. Some rather annoying neighbors. Probably no better or no worse than any other NYC building, but be prepared for lots of things falling apart on a regular basis. And TERRIBLE water pressure... In the mornings, you must always remember to turn on the hot water at least ten minutes before you plan to shower. Otherwise, you'll have to take a cold shower.

A quiet neighborhood, structural challenges
Former Tenant
Pros:
Fairly quiet neighborhood although a bit sketchy at night. Warehouses and such with little foot traffic makes it kind of desolate at night. Most neighbors are quiet and friendly (but not all). It's nice to have an elevator and to be able to rent parking.
Cons:
Assumedly cheap construction has resulted in huge infrastructure issues that cannot be easily repaired such as excessive leaks whenever it rains.
Advice to owner:
Invest in upgrading the building so that it doesn't leak, so that it can deliver hot water in a normal amount of time, etc. Allow for more modern ways to pay rent (such as Venmo). Offer text messaging options for lodging complaints regarding noisy neighbors, barking dogs, etc. since it can sometimes be difficult to effectively communicate with the super.

It’s a quite neighborhood for the most part.
Cons:
We have a lot of package theft going on.
Advice to owner:
Listen to your tenants more

A nice building
Former Tenant
Pros:
It has nice features and overall is well-maintained.
Cons:
The main drawback is that the building is prone to weird leaks, and the super can be hard to get a hold of sometimes
