Nice building with good neighbors
Former Tenant
Pros:
Close to trains, bars, and restaurants. Building neighbors are quiet and the doormen are nice. The maintenance team is responsive.
Cons:
Very hot in the summer, AC is super loud on the lower floors. Elevators can be slow.

Former Tenant
Pros:
Manhattan skyline views
Cons:
This building is poorly managed and terribly maintained. The elevators are always out of service for weeks to months at a time causing overcrowding in the lobby and a safety issue for residents, especially those with disabilities. Furthermore, the building amenities, facilities, and apartment heating and appliances are in constant need of repair. The hallways and storage units have no air circulation or temperature control which make summer months unbearable. The design and maintenance of common areas such as furnishings, carpeting, and wallpaper are all scuffed, torn, and peeling. Management doesn’t reply to emails or show any sense of urgency or care for the quality, care, or maintenance of the building, or quality of life for its residents. The other buildings along the waterfront are far more superior. Related Management doesn’t maintain this building with the same level of care as it’s others because it is a city-subsidized “affordable housing” development.
Advice to owner:
Maintain this building as if it were a regular market rental. Just because it’s affordable housing and we pay a little less than your other buildings doesn’t mean we should be subject to subpar living conditions. We aren’t animals.

It's ok
Former Tenant
Pros:
Near the park, concierge is very nice. Beautiful views. No hot water issues and water pressure is good.
Cons:
Tenants leaving cigarettes on the floor and smoking. One particular tenant leaves Old furrniture, and carts in common areas. Elevator, air conditioning, and laundry issues are always a problem year around. Construction noise due to many new surrounding buildings.
Advice to owner:
Take action against tenants that do not follow the rules and cause hazards to others. It is unfair.
