Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Recent reviews of 1-55 Borden Avenue, Queens, emphasize its desirable waterfront location near Gantry Park and convenient access to transit, bars, and restaurants. Tenants praise the building’s clean common areas, responsive maintenance, friendly doormen, and modern unit features like high ceilings and updated kitchens. Rent stabilization is a noted benefit. However, consistent elevator outages, noisy neighbors, problematic air circulation, and occasional pest and garbage issues detract from the experience. Complaints about slow or unresponsive management and general maintenance concerns are also frequent. Despite these challenges, many renters recommend the building for its location and amenities, provided management addresses long-standing service and upkeep problems.

Friendly front desk staff, hallways, trash rooms, gym, and all amenities were kept very clean. Unit had high ceilings and a lot of space for a studio unit. Gorgeous kitchen and modern appliances. Right next to Gantry park. Overall very happy.
