One year in
Former Tenant
Pros:
Not many tenants and management is pretty responsive. Kitchen is bigger than any apt I’ve seen in NYC.
Cons:
The noise. Can hear noises from everything. Construction, trains, neighbors (above/below AND on the same floor), garbage truck, honking, cars passing by, people shouting on the street past midnight, ETC.
AC unit doesn’t heat up the entire apt. Kitchen and bathroom is always COLD in the winter.
Electric bill is high because hot water and AC unit is run by electricity. Pay about $300 in the winter for electricity bill at a ONE BEDROOM apt.
Advice to owner:
Change doors and windows to soundproof. Change to central heating (probably not possible) or compensate electric bill.
