Beware poor management
Former Tenant
Pros:
It is a newer, elevator building in a decent location. I’ve never seen any pests.
Cons:
Management is extremely unresponsive. I was without heat for a month. Reported a major leak in my bedroom and got no response. I can’t open my windows because of the way the blinds are installed. Building intercom system isn’t great, I’ve had issues with it multiple times and I have no key to the main door of the building if it goes out.
Advice to owner:
Hire an actual property manager instead of handling complaints yourself.

We Wish We Could Buy This Place
Former Tenant
Pros:
-no bugs -close to speedy N/W to Manhattan -can't hear neighbors at all and many of them have dogs -spacious -new appliances -close to Astoria Park -in Astoria---such a cute neighborhood with friendly people and good food -balconies!
Cons:
-very non-responsive landlord regarding getting things fixed---he'll also sometimes just schedule an invasive construction fix to the building and only let people know the day of via a handwritten note on the elevator door (i.e. changing the front door locks)
Advice to owner:
Please be responsive

Views and new appliances not worth the headache
Former Tenant
Pros:
Parking, pet friendly(ish), balcony, new appliances, view, and roof access
Cons:
3 different incidents where homeless people had broken into the building and landlord did nothing until the 3rd incident. Landlord did not fix ceiling leaks, floor leaks, or mold for 3 years. Landlord non responsive when needed. Building barely cleaned weekly let alone up to COVID expectations.
