Avoid like the plague
Former Tenant
Pros:
It’s in a nice neighborhood, and close to the newly built Boulevard plaza. There’s lots to do around there, and close to bus stops. There’s plenty of parking.
Cons:
It is filthy. There are cockroaches *everywhere.* Management doesn’t give a toss about its tenants, most of whom are elderly. The heat is oppressive in the winter. In the summer, the hallways have no ventilation so you experience the collected heat and smells of everything around you. There are mail thieves and security does nothing about it. Finally, someone keeps breaking the lock to the front door, so anyone can come in late at night.
Advice to owner:
Reinvest some of the rent you’re stealing from your tenants to improve the building, or sell it to someone who cares.

A total NIGHTMARE
Former Tenant
Pros:
It was conveniently located near shopping areas.
Cons:
There are so many to list... but to save someone from suffering as I did, I will take time to share:

-Mold growing all over your walls, bathroom and doors throughout your apartment
-Roach infestations (including HUGEEEE flying water bugs)
-Bed bugs!! They are within the walls, when your apartment get treated, they scatter to the next door neighbors, leading to future infestations.. it is a nightmare to live out of bags and have to throw away your belongings and never get compensated for them. It is a game for the management who are aware of this issue.
-Mice... feces and urine all over your kitchen counters, stove, oven.. it’s disgusting.
-Tenants smoking in apartments and hallways and having to smell all that in your own apartment, not safe for babies.
-Garbage incinerators stuffed and over flowing with garbage.. people just open the doors and throw their bags on the floor.
-Maintenance men who cry when they have to do their jobs.. watch out for the over weight one who walks around blasting his radio with cuss words..
-Maintenance supervisor.. a total prick.. he I find to be a joke.. sits at his desk pretending to give a darn about his job and issues tenants have.. let’s just say: he does more yapping than anything.. he tries to intimidate and please a dog bites harder than her does.
-Man chipping paint, terrible plaster jobs done by who we call “plaster king”..
-They take you to court and try to get over on extra fees that are illegal.. so keep an eye on that..
-Oh and you move in thinking your going to pay the “1,300” a month for a one bedroom to only find out that this is a preferential rent and they feel they are doing you a favor in giving you that rent for the year and want to then hike it up the the “apartments worth” which turns out to be like 1,700-2,000 for a crappy apartment...
*SAVE YOURSELF THE HASSLE AND DON’T BOTHER SUPPLYING THESE PEOPLE WITH YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY
Mostly those who live here have no other options to move because they accept bad credit and just anyone that other places don’t.. do that tells you a lot!
-No heat in winter
-No insulation in walls so you hear EVERYTHING around you and they force you to put carpet rather than they supply it and still get complaints from tenants below you that they can hear you walking to the bathroom to pee at 3 am.. so now your not able to pee in your own home because you don’t want to wake up your downstairs neighbors!
Advice to owner:
You need a lot of fixing.. not just the renovations your currently doing to attract future tenants because of the new plaza across the street ;-D
