A fine option
Former Tenant
Pros:
Lots of space, landlord is responsive, neighbors are great.
Cons:
Garbage flies since cans are not secured, hallways are dirty, it’s so hot in the winter with the heater, mouse problem

Overall great
Former Tenant
Pros:
The apartments are really large for the price and the location is great. Appliances, etc aren’t the newest but they’re functional and definitely not too old. Overall the price is what kept me here for multiple years.
Cons:
The landlord is pretty unresponsive with maintenance stuff. We never had any huge maintenance concerns but when we had small issues he would either come over or send over a handyman and then determine that they needed a part or a tool or something and say they would be back in a few days and then never come back. Again, these were really small issues and I’m sure if there were a larger issue the landlord would have been more responsive, it seems like he’s just a little spacey.
The hallways are never cleaned, although this really isn’t an issue because there are only 3 units in the building.
Tenants don’t control the heat and it gets very very hot at night in the winter. Even after asking the landlord to turn it down.
Advice to owner:
Try to do some beautification of the fenced in front area. It’s so ugly and there is always trash blowing around in it. Put the trash cans in containers so they’re protected from the wind and loose trash doesn’t blow all around the street.
