Terribly managed
Former Tenant
Pros:
Location is great, neighbors/tenants friendly
Cons:
This building is terribly managed. We lived here from 2019-2020 and had numerous issues. First and foremost, we had no working gas for 11 of the 12 months living here with no rent compensation. It took months of pestering management to get the super to come fix major and minor issues. Our window would not stay open on the fire escape without being propped up (safety hazard) the kitchen floor had a hole that revealed exposed rotting wood. We had to beg for the heat to be turned on multiple times. There was a rat infestation and although we never saw any in our actual unit, there were mice droppings all over the stairs and hallway floor that sat for weeks-months before we caved and cleaned it up ourselves. Upon moving out, we were “ghosted” and unable to get management to return our security deposit for 4 months until we informed that we prepared to file a civil claim.
Advice to owner:
Provide better building upkeep and management. The prices for these apartments are absurdly unreasonable based on my experience living here.
