9th floor units: extreme noise issues
Former Tenant
Pros:
Big units
Friendly doormen - they’re great
Cons:
A few 9th floor units will experience extreme daily noises from upstair units, with no board intention of resolution. Noises include a lot of stomping everyday in the afternoon and knocking/heavy things being dropped on early mornings.
My unit’s landlord has been completely useless in dealing with this noise issue.
Rent at your own risk.
Advice to owner:
Kick out the toxic people on the board and hold house rules violators accountable so that they can’t get away with what they’re doing.

Not awful, not the best
Former Tenant
Pros:
Doorman was super friendly and helpful, landlord was usually responsive. Heating has improved (sometimes blasting) after new super has taken over.
Cons:
Rental process is long with a lot of documents needed, not the newest building, not the best maintained building including the occasional roach sighting and hearing mice in the walls. Previous super was awful.
Advice to owner:
Get a full time doorman and clean up the place.
