DO NOT MOVE IN
Former Tenant
Pros:
Windows in the bedrooms, L proximity. Presents nicely at first showing.
Cons:
roach nest that was absolutely unfathomable. No smoke detector. Ceiling leaks. Absolute lemon of an apartment. Hallway is disgusting. Flooring is slanted. This is within the first 3 days of moving in. Do not go near this building for health reasons.
Advice to owner:
Demolish it and start over.

Moving in was a big mistake.
Former Tenant
Pros:
It is very spacious with high ceilings and access to a lovely back yard.
Cons:
The basement floods in heavy rains, causing damage to the walls doors and fixtures, but the property management would ignore all calls and e-mails. They have taken zero action to repair the damage or prevent the problem recurring. This is an incredibly noisy building. What was cheap construction to begin with has been poorly maintained over the years. You can hear every word spoken by any neighbors with whom you share a wall. The radiators were ripped out and a central heat system installed, shoddily. It is extremely noisy and highly inefficient, and therefore very expensive to run. Owners own hundreds of buildings in brooklyn - they absolutely do not care.
