Perfect Starter Apt

Pros:
Great location, fun date night options, upbeat area.

Never had any issues with pest control etc. and building management responds quickly to any requests raised.
Cons:
Cigarette smoke smell often in the hallways and sometimes the scent can make its way into the apartment

Pros:
Very involved live-in (I think?) super, no bugs, decently clean, two of our neighbors gave us free blow, overall great
Cons:
We lived in the corner unit on the second floor—LOUD AS FUQ. Like, it does not shut up at the Orchard/Rivington intersection esp on the weekends

Prep the apt better for move ins

Pros:
The location is prime. You can walk literally to a ton of restaurants, bars, trains.
Cons:
It is very loud all the time outside. The building is not cleaned often, and the super smokes cigarettes in the laundry room so building hallways typically smell like a cigarette. Also the apartments are rather small and the kitchen is more of a kitchenette.
Advice to owner:
Try to keep good tenants and not raise the rent an insane amount just to get money and the apartment is no where worth the price.
