Toxic building, Toxic landlord
Former Tenant
Pros:
The heat works- but it’ll kill you. Solid location.
Cons:
The landlord and super have been stealing the entire buildings packages for years- they have a theft ring where they steal and sell our property.
My electricity turns off when I use my fan and toaster oven at the same time. The water comes out of the faucet brown at first. I have black mold in my bathroom- the only repair he made to the mold is by painting over it. He constantly comes into my apartment when I’m not home and try’s to come in when I am home. He is shady. I have also been robbed twice beyond the incessant package theft. The cops do nothing.

The floors are all warped from apparent water damage. And there is a constant smell of cigarettes in the building and wafting through the walls.

I look for a new apartment almost daily.

My windows don’t lock. And my refrigerator breaks once a month.
Advice to owner:
Remove your thriving family, stop trying to have tenets pay for repairs. Stop entering our apartments without permission. And stop creating rules that only apply to non polish tenets. Treat all humans well. Not just your thieving family.

Terrible situation!
Former Tenant
Pros:
Good location, relatively cheap rent but not worth it.
Cons:
The super on the first floor has been stealing mine and my neighbors packages for years, we have lost thousands of dollars in packages. We finally caught him on camera,
Called the police and the landlord still refuses to evict him. Landlord refuses to maintain the building or address issues in anyone’s apartments.
Advice to owner:
Evict your thieving super.
