It’s fine if you have high tolerance
Former Tenant
Pros:
The neighborhood is a pro I guess. It’s relatively quiet. Proximity to necessities. Neighbors all seem to get along fine. Nearby children’s park so you know there’s a lot of families in the area. Maintenance staff is very great and nice.
Cons:
Mice. Roaches. I don’t like the placement of trash in the streets. Just put they behind the fence between the buildings. But I understand also it’s meant for pick up but it’s nasty.

Pandemic move was fine until…
Former Tenant
Pros:
Moved in during the pandemic so rent was lowered by $500. The management keeps the area clean, porters always take trash out, and the staircases are cleaned often. You can pay your rent online instead of dropping off a check at the office.
Cons:
It was fine until we continuously find at least one bed bug per month. We don’t go outside (due to the pandemic and the stronger variants) to pick them up so the bed bugs must be coming from another unit in the building. We’ve had the building’s contract exterminator come in and spray our unit but it was not clear whether they checked other units. We also weren’t notified of construction at all that takes place 9hrs every week day. The construction is constant drilling which makes staying in the unit unlivable unless you want to deal with a headache for 9hrs.

- no fire extinguishers
- inadequate water extinguishers (there is only one and it’s by the bathroom)
- inadequate response to pests
- no notification of construction that makes the unit unlivable
