Building Review for Prospect Park West
Former Tenant
Pros:
Nice neighbors, gorgeous roof, nice hallways. Bins for garbage. Monthly optional exterminator service. Right by the park!
Cons:
The Super lived in the building but was hard to get ahold of, repairs were put off for extended periods. Rent checks had to be mailed. The heat was inconsistent and it got very cold in the winter at times. Water temp also fluctuated a lot. The water went out for several days due to nearby construction, not the landlords fault but they failed to warn us or provide any information about it. Packages often stolen.
Advice to owner:
Some way to pay rent and submit complaints online. Or just being more responsive to texts / calls.

Apt. on Prospect Park West: Just OK
Former Tenant
Pros:
Large living room space
Location: steps away from Prospect Park and a short walk to the train and several delis, shops and restaurants
Well heated in the winter
Built in closets in 2 of the bedrooms
Built in pantry in the kitchen
Cons:
Small bedrooms
Thin walls and neighbors who would constantly complain about the smallest amount of noise from our apartment
Electrical in the bathroom was ungrounded: I got a number of shocks if my leg was touching the side of the bathtub while I turned on the lights
When I moved in, there were mice living in the pantry
Street noise
Poor air circulation
