Very loud neighbourhood
Former Tenant
Pros:
Close to Central Park
Cons:
Where shall I start.? 419 East 70th st is located on a busy street, heart of the hospitals. Continual ambulance siren, traffic jams, loud bars below with drunk people screaming constantly. Suspicious gatherings on the block, potheads and homeless people. Early morning trucks on daily basis delivering items to Dunkin’ Donuts, are very loud. Forget the outside! If your unit is on the lower floor - you’re screwed. This is the most noisiest building I’ve ever lived in! And the neighbours are something else, especially the collage kid from the top floor with a pit bull mix, round-the-clock running up and down the stairs - get a job! If you work remotely like myself, this building is not for you. Please do yourself a favour, pay extra buck and get yourself a nice clean/quiet place.
Advice to owner:
Choose tenants wisely

Do NOT move here!
Former Tenant
Pros:
Absolutely nothing! I thought we got a good deal, but we’ve been scammed.
Cons:
Everything! Roaches and mice, bad smell, hot water issues, wall cracks and leaks, piles of trash at the entrance to the building…and the main issue of course that the landlord is not responsive! We are recently moved in and haven’t showered for days now cause we got no hot water! We regret moving into this building…
Advice to owner:
Fix your building!
