Sunnyside pre-war
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great location, 25 minutes to midtown Manhattan
Cons:
Building is old and needs a thorough cleaning. Elevator works, but definitely needs to be upgraded
Advice to owner:
Thoroughly clean the building

The worst experience I had renting in NY so far
Former Tenant
Pros:
Affordable rent close to subway
Cons:
- The building and apartments are infested with cockroaches and mice.
- There’s no laundry in the building.
- Almost every summer night, a group of people playing loud music and smoking weed outside the building door which goes into your apartment and makes it impossible to get a restful sleep.
- The building is very old with chipping paint.
- Management acts very annoyed when you address your concerns. You need to keep bugging them to fix the issues
- I also had 500$+ worth of packages stolen from the lobby due to no security cameras inside the building
Advice to owner:
Please take care of these concerns to make a more pleasant livable experience for your tenants
