It's all mostly fine
Former Tenant
Pros:
Owners are quick to reply whenever we had a problem, even on a holiday once, they seem to care, and were accommodating with some special requests. They do keep up regular maintenance. They didn't raise our rent.
Cons:
There were some repairs, nothing major, where they landlord clearly was trying to save money by doing it themselves or with a friend. Sometimes it worked out ok, and sometimes it left things looking kind of unkept/unpolished. Also, the guy they hired who deals with the trash is kind of a jerk and would makes "rules" for the building even tho he had no authority. I did complain to the landlord and they asked him to stop but he didn't.
Advice to owner:
Take electronic payment instead of making people mail checks. Find someone else to deal with the trash and building maintenance.

Flooded 3 times in 4 months
Former Tenant
Pros:
New construction decent appliances. Owner is responsive to communications.
Cons:
Owners failed to take proper water remediations steps and steps to prevent new floods. The basement level flooded 3 times in 4 months. The last flood we had almost a foot of water in the basement- our living room. The owners solution was for us to break our lease not fix the problem!
