DO NOT RENT HERE

Pros:
All the tenants are respectful and quiet
Cons:
Owner is unresponsive. I had no heat all winter long and I’ve always paid my rent and been a polite tenant. The main hallway areas and stairs are severely dirty. Human feces was left for 1 week in front of waste disposal bins. Superintendent cannot repair anything and gives you an attitude if he’s requested.
They never do any annual maintenance services. Sometimes the front door is broken

Absent landlord and slow to fix repairs

Pros:
The super, Jose, is nice and responsive.
Cons:
The skylight in our bathroom was leaking SNOW, and I could not get in touch with a single person. The super wouldn't come to do anything without permission from the landlord, and no one in the landlord's office picked up the phone on a weekday morning.
Advice to owner:
Have an emergency line or someone in the office/available by phone specifically for emergencies.
