Unresponsive property manager. Buzzer hasn’t been fixed in a year and a half.
Former Tenant
Pros:
Laundry in unit. Updated kitchen and bathroom, new medium sized fridge, and new stove. Nice microwave and there's a dishwasher. Floors are newly painted but badly done. Newly painted walls and nice overhead lighting. Close to east river and somewhat close to central park north.
Cons:
Buzzer hasn’t been fixed in a year and a half and it seems like they’re not intending to. Don’t move into this building. Hallways smell like cigarettes and not cleaned regularly at all. Super only comes by to sort the trash. There's a smoke detector alarm somewhere in the building that keeps going off. Pretty loud overall but that's what you get when you rent an apartment on 2nd Ave. Very unresponsive property manager. Neighborhood has dog poop everywhere. Unit itself has been "updated." Whatever contractor they hired did a terrible job. The shower floor was not thought out well to drain downward into the drain so water just sits flat on the floor. The paint on the floor is so streaky and finish is rough. It also gets so hot in the apartment and there is no way to adjust the temperature. The dryer takes forever to dry. Dishwasher isn't fixed into the cabinets. No closets.
Advice to owner:
Responsiveness would be much appreciated. I'm sure other tenants would feel the same way.
