Don't do it!
Former Tenant
Pros:
Location is great, and space is great for the price. Management is responsive and willing to work with you.
Cons:
LOUD street noises & construction sounds. It sounds as if you are on the street. But what was worse than that was the sound of the radiator banging every hour in the winter / spring months. This was NOT a regular hissing radiator sound that is common in NYC apartments. It was incredibly loud banging that would wake me up every hour every night throughout the night for months. It was so bad that I was able to get my rent abated. I had to sleep with earplugs in, and when they'd fall out I'd play white noise on my airpods. Note that the earplugs were not enough to get rid of the radiator sounds, and I had to play my white noise on max to drown the noise out. I know the space and the price and the location is tempting, but your mental health, sleep and sanity is NOT worth compromising on!!!!
