Good but overpriced
Former Tenant
Pros:
Good for short-term, long term if you get lucky with roommates. Its best for young adults who want to meet people and believe in communal living at top market prices.
Cons:
Small, dirty gym. Initially had insects but monthly exterminators helped and no issues since summer 2023. Shared wifi so it becomes unusable at times if you WFH, I was on hotspots most days.

Overall Bad Experience
Former Tenant
Pros:
Closeness to manhattan, neighborhood, good food and stores nearby, laundry in apartment, kitchen equipment supplied to you
Cons:
Mold throughout building, stolen packages, BUGS!!!cockroaches fruit flies ants and gnat infestations, unresponsive management/they take forever to fix problems, they ignore gender preferences of tenants and their roommates, buildings arent numbered, overpriced for low quality, obnoxious roommates, rude house leaders, keyless access means that if your phone dies/bluetooth isnt connecting you cant get into your apartment, loud construction in the mornings
Advice to owner:
Hire an exterminator that actually does something significant. Hire maintenance guys that actually know what they are doing when it comes to mold instead of just covering the underlying cause. Hire maintenance people that will actually respond to you. Get rid of the keyless access to avoid the problems that come with that system. Dont do the cheapest renovations possible and add unnecessary amenities to the building so you can raise the rent by $1,000 a month and maximize your own profit.
