Historical Charm / Needs Some Work
Former Tenant
Pros:
The property owner is amazing and the location is great. It's right next to the subway, the neighbors are friendly, and the Upper West Side holds so many treasures. The historical element brings a charming feel and there was a lot of storage in my particular unit for being a small space.
Cons:
Property management is unresponsive regarding internal maintenance within the building (unless you call them to follow up on your portal request). It took me six months to get my washer/dryer fixed, and a portion of my ceiling that was collapsing didn't get repaired until it started leaking. Although there is an exterminator that comes once a month, I had a small roach issue in my apartment that I remedied with personal traps. If you're on the bottom floor you're also right next to the street and historical walk, so you'll hear people coming in and out of the gate along with people talking on the street (however it's generally quiet at night).

Horrible Management No Sunlight
Former Tenant
Pros:
Beautiful, historic neighborhood with the nicest (mostly elderly a few young families) neighbors. Washer/dryer in unit, close to 96th st station
Cons:
Little to no sunlight. HORRIBLE and unresponsive management, roach issues despite multiple visits from the exterminator. Old, creaky floors and thin walls.
Advice to owner:
If you need something fixed, call and email everyone at GP properties multiple times. Threaten them otherwise you'll have a broken toilet for two weeks or a random cabinet on the floor for a month.
