Correct address is 164-20 Highland Ave
Former Tenant
Pros:
Weekday doormen are engaged and very attentive. They will call to let you know you have a package and if it's heavy, they will carry it to the elevator for you or drop it off at your apartment via trolley.
Maintenance staff can always be seen working on the grounds and taking out the trash. 3 recycling pickups a day on each floor, 9 in total. Exterminator comes the first Saturday of every month without fail. Lived here for 3 years with no mice and only the occasional roach in the summer, no infestations.
Instead of paying a large security deposit upfront, they offer a low monthly insurance fee for $24.95. you don't get it back, but in 3 years, I only paid $898. Security would have been double that amount upfront with the possibility of not getting it back.
Cons:
Super situation as a renter is confusing and frustrating. There's one in the building that serves the co-op tenants while renters are serviced by the super who lives 3 buildings down, so no opportunity for face-to-face face reminders on open tickets.
Entrance to building is not mobility accessible. Front entrance has arched walkway with stairs on both sides that lead to more steps down to the door. Back entrance is accessible via flat parking lot, but curb to the ramp is very steep.
Advice to owner:
Make one side of the front walkway a ramp for those with walkers, wheelchairs, suitcases, strollers, etc.
