It is inevitably really loud

Nice place in Flatbush
Former Tenant
Pros:
Friendly neighbors, pretty quiet block. Maintenance team was responsive and helpful. Location is great — close to the Q, and close to Prospect Park. Lots of shops, grocery store, etc., nearby.
Cons:
Had some neighbors who would fight loudly sometimes during my time there, but that was about it

Clean apartment made out of wood
Former Tenant
Pros:
Clean and well kept. Very good staff. Very clean street without pests or overflowing trash
Cons:
Very poorly insulated building. I had to move out because I could hear the upstairs neighbors' footsteps all night. I can hear conversations and dogs barking through the walls. The walls are so thin that I can hear the elevator opening and closing, as well as people going up and down the stairs. I only recommend it if you live on the top floor or if you are hard of hearing.
Advice to owner:
don't cheap out on building materials

Not bad, but not great either.
Former Tenant
Pros:
Super and doormen are great. Building is generally quiet but a few obnoxious neighbors.
Cons:
Lived on the top floor of the building and had an issue with bugs coming in through the skylight. Water runs brown far more than it should. Loft unit apartments take forever to cool down and the combo washer/dryer is close to useless. Building promised they were building a gym in 2022 that never showed up. I just expect a little more for the price and distance to public transportation.
Advice to owner:
Fix the water and every other con becomes more palatable.

225 W 23
Former Tenant
Pros:
Doormen, elevator, good location, decent size apartments
Cons:
Heat doesn't always get warm enough in winter, loud facing 23rd st, sometimes laundry machines break

rental experience here
Former Tenant
Pros:
-W/D
- close to trains
- safe neighborhood
-herringbone floors
Cons:
- noise coming from a specific unit , they are always yelling, fighting, stomping, you can hear them from the 2nd floor when you’re coming up. it can be 9AM and they are already yelling. it can be 11PM and they are yelling and making a lot of noise. that is why I moved out and the previous tenant did too.
- rats on the streets
- unexpected late fee charges
- heat didn’t work sometimes
- delivery ppl outside building smoking and drinking

Good management, well maintained building
Former Tenant
Pros:
Management is very responsive to concerns
Friendly neighbors for the most part
Unit was newly remodeled
Bus right in front of building
Cons:
Some noise on ground floor, people hanging out in lobby, lot of echoes
Seems they are favoring new renters, not the long term tenants

Cons:

Happy for 3 years
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great super, quick maintenance response time
Cons:
How messy it gets over the weekend due to the public using the entrance to hangout

Close to the park
Former Tenant
Pros:
Nice super, sweet neighbors, elevator is useful
Cons:
Utilities are annoyingly loud (ac, washer/dryer), construction on the facade all year, no longer have roof access, noisy intersection. Super is helpful but management never follows up on issues he can’t help with.

Great + affordable location
Former Tenant
Pros:
Adequate space, close to G train. Good parking for guests on weekends. Beautiful neighborhood with cafes and yoga studios. Easy walk to Fort Greene. Reasonable rent increases.
Cons:
Limited sunlight in living room. Large real estate management company took over, and communication became less timely and efficient.

It was nice
Former Tenant
Pros:
There is maintenance/management available most of the time. They respond quickly. Pest control came every week if you needed it. Garbage was outside and was kept organized.
Cons:
Apartment was loud at night. My packages got stolen a lot when i lived there.
Some units had laundry and others didn't.

Nice neighborhood, but increase the rent very high after a year
Former Tenant
Pros:
Closed to Fort Green park, very pretty and quiet neighborhood, safe, closed to G, walkable distance to C, B subway stations, renovated the house pretty recently
Cons:
Increased the rent a lot after a year contract, one time has pest issue in the apt.

Many great perks, a few important downsides
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great neighbors, no noise complaints. Nice clean style in our apartment. Close to lots of useful subway lines, quick route to Manhattan. Washer/dryer in-unit.
Cons:
Since the new managers have taken over (summer 2023), they've been much less responsive and currently don't take accountability for their mistakes.
Advice to owner:
Be more responsive and come when you say you'll come!

Happy resident of 2 years
Former Tenant
Pros:
This building has renovated units with brand-new appliances. Have lived here for 2 years now and am very happy with the experience. The building is very well maintained, clean (great Super who is on top of it all), safe (secure building through Latch app), and has things like an elevator and a (very small) gym. The very few issues we've had have been resolved quickly! Our unit specifically has in-unit washer-dryer, dishwasher, etc.
Cons:
Definitely pricey, on a loud street (even on week nights)

Love this Building
Former Tenant
Pros:
Felt very safe living in this building, great management, and they always responded to issues. I miss living here.
Cons:
I lived on the second floor and would get a few cockroaches, the exterminator came twice a month but it's hard to avoid in a prewar building.
Advice to owner:
